Wastewater treatment plant (WWTP)

In August 2020, Agrokasa began construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Ica, which will operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
This project will be one of the most modern in the Ica region and will benefit not only the agricultural sector and the community, but will also have a great impact on the environment. This project focuses on these pillars: Diversification and efficient use of water sources, and sustainability.
With the WWTP, more than 3,000 jobs will be generated, the planting of 300 new hectares of avocado and blueberries, as well as the renovation of 500 hectares of table grapes.
“It will undoubtedly be a great opportunity to reduce the risks of contamination in view of the collapse that for years has been affecting the crude discharges to the oxidation lagoons of the Cachiche sector (Ica) that have been exceeded in capacity”, expressed representatives of Agrokasa.
